Nicolas Cage's upcoming movie is nothing like before.

Do you ever see a Nicolas Cage film and say to yourself, "He's just not Nick Cage enough for me"? That shouldn't be an issue in The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, a film in which Cage portrays himself.

It's billed as a "action-adventure," however the idea is rather different:

_Cage, creatively dissatisfied and facing financial collapse, must accept a $1 million offer to attend the birthday of a deadly superfan (Pedro Pascal). When Cage is recruited by a CIA officer (Tiffany Haddish) and forced to live up to his own mythology, channeling his most renowned and adored on-screen personalities in order to save himself and his loved ones, things take a radically unexpected turn._

The first teaser appears to be fittingly ludicrous, with Cage hamming it up in the nicest manner possible, clearly in on the joke. It makes me want to watch The Croods 2 — and maybe Prisoners of the Ghostland. The film will be released in theaters on April 22nd, 2022.
